The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya, jointly with Enterprise Europe Network Pécs, the Hungarian National Trading House and well-known Hungarian enterprises are organizing on 4-6 October 2017 a Brokerage Event (B2B meeting) and related professional conference in Pécs, Hungary.

The PTE Hungarian Diaspore Project Network established in April 2017 and supported by the 650th anniversary project of the foundation of the University of Pécs, was pleased to join the organizers of “Open4Business” this year in order to foster the synergic economic development of Hungarian companies wishing to build their business relationships internationally.

This year we offer a large scale of colorful programs such as Connect-IT conference by i2k IT Cluster, Pécs Design Week.

Also, the Danube Region Strategy’s Conference called Danube Competitiveness in Practice organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing Baden-Württemberg will be held during the Open4Business jointly with some of our programs.

The Open4Business Matchmaking Event Pécs gives you a perfect possibility for networking with speakers and participants during individual presentations, panel discussions, B2B matchmaking and many informal social events.

Open4Business has proved to be very successful during the previous edition for anyone interested in international co-operations, clusters, and R&D projects.

The result speaks for itself: 145 participants representing 14 countries attended the 3 days program. 274 registered companies had 367 meetings. Counting the informal meetings the total number of bilateral talks is more than 350.

Our Project manager, Szende Mihálcz took part of Duna Region Strategy – Dual Education Interactive Workshops IV, where we could inform from Seed Money Facility project call.

This project call is one of the direct financial supporting schemes that the Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) offers to support the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) in reaching its targets is the establishment of a seed money facility, managed directly by the DTP Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat (MA/JS). This instrument is meant to provide support for the development of complex strategic transnational projects in some Priority Area of the EUSDR, regardless the financial instrument to be addressed by the project developed, be it national, mainstream EU, transnational or cross border or by any other public or private investor (such as IFIs) or public-private partnership.

Two company/ entity visits took place on the last day of the Open4Business Event. One of the options was the University of Pécs – Szentágothai Research Centre where Kinga Kristó went and the other option was the

Organ Manufacturing Company dealing with the manufacturing and renovation of organs where Szende Mihálcz went to visit it. Both entities were interesting but unfortunately no links identified to collaborate further with TMEC.
