Cluster’s development strategy

The objectives of the Transylvanian Mechanical Engineering Cluster:

1. development of cluster services and products

2. participation and / or initiation of innovative projects, supporting ”innovators”

3. developing a coherent cluster policy

   3.1 common participation in national and international forums (conferences, fairs and exhibitions, economic events)

   3.2 common participation in national and international projects  

   3.3 developement of national and international economic relations

   3.4 developement of cluster marketing

   3.5 monitoring grant programs, support for project elaboration

   3.6 collaboration with national and international cluster organizations

4. developement of the clusters` IT network

5. drafting legislative proposals, awereness of current legislation among members

6. training of managers and employees

7. fundraising for cluster management

Obligations of members of the TME Cluster:

1. Professional Organizations

   1.1 common presence on national and international markets

   1.2 joint participation in exhibitions, fairs and conferences of national and international profile

   1.3 collaboration – as far as possible – in developement projects

   1.4 ellaboration and implementation of common projects

   1.5 collaboration with professional institutions, research and innovative institutes; cooperation with economic oragnizations to develop the cluster; collaboration with local authorities

   1.6 support the training of cluster members

   1.7 support the accession of new members in the cluster

2. Local Public Authorities

   2.1 supporting the development of wood industry at local and regional level

 3. Research and innovation

   3.1 promoting innovative results and working with cluster members for the implementation of the results

   3.2. assuring, on demand, consulting and testing activities for wood and wood products, releasing test results and test reports recognized by the RENAR

   3.3. organizing specialized short-term courses within lifelong educational programs

4. Educational institutions

    4.1 providing as possible continuous professional education

5. Specialised institutions

   5.1 ensure within the cluster the promotion and awareness of legislation, providing technical assistance and consultancy

6. Consultancy

   6.1 collaborating with cluster members to identify and access funding programs
